Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
How comfy are they?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they help with airflow. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already distressed so your feet just adjust easily.
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also be smart.
